Generally, the recommended dosage for elderly persons is 100 mg twice daily and should be gradually increased to 200mg b.i.d.

The side effects, in descending order of severity, of Generic Generic Normodyne tablets are vertigo, vision abnormality, rash, respiratory
dyspnea, bradycardia, postural hypotension, edema, increased sweating, impotence, ejaculation failure, nasal stuffiness, drowsiness, paresthesia,
dizziness, taste distortion, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, vomiting, nausea, headache, asthenia and fatigue.
Rare cases of hypersensitivity and anaphylactoid reactions are reported as side effects of these tablets.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant usage of Generic Generic Normodyne tablets with antidepressants leads to tremor. Labetalol tablets are interactive with drugs possessing beta-blocking properties affects the bronchodilator effect of beta-receptor agonist drugs in patients suffering from bronchospasm. Cimetidine accelerates the bioavailability of labetalol hydrochloride. Hypotensive anesthesia with this drug may increase the degree of hypotension due to the possibility of a large reduction in cardiac output and an increase in central venous pressure. Calcium antagonists of the verapamil type should be carefully administered
